Svikai Chawapura is part of the Doma tribe in Zimbabwe. His parents could not afford to send him to school. He had never heard about Jesus. He did not even know how to read or write. All he knew was hunting and fishing.
Recently, Brian Mutarwa, a Multiplication Network Ministries (MNM) trainer, travelled to Kanyemba to conduct a church planter training. There he met Svikai, who was participating.
At first, Svikai was not able to fully use the MNM materials and resources because he could not read them. However, Brian and his team worked with Svikai to help him overcome this barrier. Svikai received the training and resources he needed and is now preaching the gospel to the Doma people.
“I am now able to preach the word of God to my people. I did not know how to read or write but now I can communicate the gospel to my people as a result of the training I received from MNM. Indeed, God is real! I have travelled from village to village to preach the gospel and about 40 people have given their lives to Jesus,” says Svikai.
Svikai continues to work in this region to further the Kingdom. His goal is to plant more churches and stronger churches in these villages.
