Esther Oladele is a church planter in the village of Kiyan in Nigeria. This area was underdeveloped and was not somewhere a person would first consider for planting a church. The community practices several different religions and this causes great setbacks in terms of sharing the Gospel. The darkness of these other religions was trying to crowd out the light.

Previous efforts have failed in this village but Esther was determined to take up this challenge to bring the to the people. Despite the forces against them, God worked through Esther and her ministry to bring about change.

Kiyan now has a growing evangelical church that Esther was able to plant with God’s help. The village has changed for the better as a result of this new ministry. Light has been restored in place of the darkness. A new community of believers is rising up to multiply the gift of the Gospel that they received. Because of Esther’s training in church planting, she has been able to train these members of the new church to plant more churches in Kiyan. Glory to God!
