Theresa's Story - Côte d'Ivoire

Around the globe, lockdowns due to COVID-19 have put families, businesses, and even churches into difficult situations. In Côte d’Ivoire, not only were businesses and churches not operational but hospitals had to be selective in treating patients. The people there seemed lost, confused, and without hope. Theresa Hili recognized this so she got down on her knees to pray to God, trusting that He could help.

Theresa was surprised to see that the local church planter in her community, Juno Celestin, continued to visit people even in the midst of the lockdown. He had received training from Multiplication Network Ministries (MNM) and was motivated to continue sharing the hope and love of Jesus. Juno was an answer to Theresa’s prayers. Theresa’s small group was able to gather, observing government laws and social distancing guidelines.

Juno encouraged them, prayed with them, and led them in communion, bringing much joy back to the community. Neighbors came and witnessed the fellowship this group was having together. Juno encouraged them in their faith and several of these visitors gave their life to Christ and joined the group. Glory to God!
