Alexander Aguilar had a difficult life because of decisions he made in his teens. He consistently gave in to his desires but felt a great emptiness in his heart. “My life was devoid of purpose and direction,” Alexander admits.

Then one day, Alexander was invited to a church activity and there he experienced an encounter with the Holy Spirit. “It broke me and opened my heart to Jesus Christ,” he says. “From then on, I began to attend the church.”

Alexander had noticeably changed—his relatives and others around him could see the transformation he experienced. Alexander began to see the need for God in his community and wanted to do something about it.

God called Alexander to make a difference in his area by planting a church in Yaracuy, Venezuela. Alexander was equipped by the church planter training you provided through Multiplication Network. “I have been able to develop skills and gifts that are fundamental to be successful in church planting,” Alexander reports. “I have learned about strategic planning and received help through mentoring.”

Alexander is so passionate about church planting and bringing people closer to God that he is looking to motivate others to get involved in the work. “I firmly believe that I have a call to establish new congregations and bring the Church closer to the communities that need the glorious message of the Gospel.”

Alexander holds to the truth in Philippians 1:6 – “he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” This passage motivates him and he shares it with others to encourage them to continue forward.
